In my dorm room I have a window shade that would be perfect for projecting and watching movies on etc. however the shade is entirely black. Any suggestions for making it more reflective? ex, spray paint, draping a sheet? I have a crystallized screen but it is attached to a large stand so it will not fit. Thanks

You can cut this material to fit over your shade, or just tack it to a wall.
A sheet will let too much light through to be useful.
If you are going to use paint, they actually have paint designed for movie screens. You can find it on ebay. But its a bit pricey. Another alternative is to use a lighter color sheet and then the white sheet so that the 2nd layer of sheet between the black and the white will allow for projector image absorbtion and also prevent light from outside from coming in.
If any of your dorm room walls are already painted in white or an off-white, you may want to consider projecting directly on the wall itself! And also there’s the $150 option: a paint-on-the-wall screen from http://www.goosystems.com.
Good luck!
