Ok, so I recently got a projector in my dorm room. I want to just hook up some LEDs to the wall ( i have access to the electronics lab). My question is how to make it more accurate. Because the screen is 85 in diagonal and you only stand 4 feet away, the pointer is all distorted. When placing the led’s, should I place them farther apart or closer together to achieve the desired horozontal accuracy?
thanks
well, unfortunately, farther away is not an option. wouldn’t changing the spacing of the lights help, seeing as the wiimote reads distance by pseudo -triangulating the distance from the 2 dots?

The important thing is for the Wii Remote to see 2 dots. At 4 feet, you’d need them closer together than the Wii Sensor Bar, since the Wii Remote pointer functionality works best from 5-8 feet.
I’d recommend getting a pair of long-stem candles, using the Wii Sensor Bar to go into the Sensor Bar Sensitivity settings, then unplugging the Sensor Bar and lighting the candles at about the same positions as the ends of the Sensor Bar. Then move the candles around untill you consistently see two dots on screen as you move the Wii Remote around. That will give you the distance measurement for making your own Sensor Bar.
If you want more Horizontal Accuracy, its better to but the Wii Sensor bar more farther away because the LED Lights can’t read the Wii Remotes signal up close.
So it’s recommend to use the Wii Sensor Bar farther away.
