I love this little tool of measurement? Works great night and in low light, it is very easy to get a laser beam in such conditions. During daylight hours it takes some practice to find the laser beam and the line of what you want to measure (akon little training in the afternoon, everything is great). This product is highly recommended, very durable (dropped mine several times and still running strong), with a surprisingly high accuracy, double / triple check the distance with the two roll-roll tape and steel tape. Great Value for a Great Price
I didn’t know if this product was going to meet my every need, however it did. If I had one bad thing to say about it, that would only be the standard unit of measure. I’ve been told the newer versions and models of this product have been updated. In Metric the measuring #’s are right on, in standard the units of measure are in decimal point #’s and not in fraction. If you can get passed this, then you’ve got yourself a really nice product. It works out great for me and the uses I use it. Very happy with the unit.

Dead Reliable
Small, light, and accurate. All the measuring modes are easy to get to on the front panel, and easy to use.
I bought the DLR165K for my wife, who uses it in her Real Estate business, primarily for doing room measurements. I’ve tested it repeatedly and found it dead-on accurate. My only complaints are that the battery door and the swing-out base pin (used to measure from inside corners) are both a little flimsy. That’s definitely not enough to knock down the rating, however. Given that the best alternatives cost several times what the Bosch costs, this unit should be an easy decision for anyone needing this type of tool.
I’m picking one up for myself at some point also.

Excellent Laser Measuring Device
This unit beat both Johnson and Fluke in price value in 165 foot range kits. I would recommend purchasing both laser enhancement goggles (I chose Dewalt DW0714) and a laser target (I chose CST/Berger 57-TARGET)as you’ll be needing them in the sun and at extended distance.

Very very cool tool!!!
Been a carp over 30 years and wish I’d had found this sooner. Gawd does it come in handy. It now has a permanent place in my tool belt.
I think it’s more accurate than my Stanley tape.
Today I had to take floor to ceiling measurements while building a set of stairs. I set the thing in three different places. One at the the bottom of where each stringer was to sit. What a time saver!
I never really trusted it until I spent some time checking it against my stick ruler. The thing was so dead on it was scary.
I’ve seen it on sale for as little as on Amazon.
The time it saves in so many instances has it paying for itself in no time.

Very Accurate
I just used it to install a drop down projector screen. I had to drill 2 holes that were about 8 feet apart (8.215 if I remember right) I put one of the screws in and was able to use the device to position the second screw by aiming the laser at the screw itself in order to find the correct position for the other one. It worked the first try. I was impressed and until then, was not sure of how much I could really rely on it. The fact that I could target a small screw at more then 8 feet way, I think proves it’s ability. Great little device. I subtracted a star because it does not provide an option to display in only inches, without feet.

I own a small drafting business and we get into a lot of industrial measuring situations. Piping that’s unreachable, structural steel you’d be climbing on decking all day to get your dimensions. This LDMD has been a major time saver for us and also keeps my people in safer positions to take measurements. The triangular measurement just basically does calculations based on the Pythagorean theorem. You give it two sides of your triangle and it does the rest….major time saver!
